The Lakewood Times interviewed senior Eddie Gillick in regards to the football game on Friday, Sept. 9. Although the Varsity team lost, they still managed to put up a fight against the Rocky River Pirates.
As a team, how are you feeling about this season?
“I’m feeling pretty confident going into this season. I’m pretty excited.”
As a senior, how are you feeling about the season?
“I’m upset that it’s ending. It was an amazing three years and i’m planning to end this one with a lot of fun memories.”
What were your thoughts about Friday’s game?
“I think we need to be more physical and get more tackles and I think we could have executed plays better and not give up the ball as much as we did.”
How are you feeling about the loss?
“I can’t let myself get down about the loss. In the end someone’s gotta lose. I can’t get too sad about it.”
How do you keep your teammates feeling positive and motivated during a loss?
“I just remind my teammates that we have to move on to the next week and that one little mistake we make doesn’t define the entire outcome.”
