Cross Country Had A Great Weekend

Lakewood High School’s Cross Country teams were amazing this past meet! On Saturday, Sept 24, the Cross Country team attended the Strongsville Invite. Not only did one of the Rangers place 1st, but they also broke a school record. Junior Luka Bork had a time of 15:28.05! With that time, he broke a school record and placed 1st overall. Also, Charlie Payne placed 14th overall. Payne had a time of 16:01.75. 3rd best for Lakewood was Quinn Sutliff. Sutliff had a time of 18:23.76. These all were great times. Congratulations on bringing home the win, Rangers. Let’s keep it going! 

Not only did the boys have a great day, but so did the girls. Josie Kavc had the best time for the lady Rangers. Kavc had a time of 19:27.11, and placed 18th overall. That is 5th All-Time! Mae Mohar came in 66th place; she was Lakewood’s second best runner at the meet. Mohar’s time was 21:19.54. The third best runner for Lakewood was Jazi Dunay who came in 79th place overall. Dunay had a great time of 21:37.96. Great job runners!
