Hello Rangers! We know it seems like early on in the year…but for our Lakewood seniors, it is time for them to start thinking about graduation and preparing everything they need for the big day. Things that you might not even think about preparing for — outfits, caps, gowns, rings, letterman jackets, and so much more — are all things that need to be ordered ahead of time in order to arrive by graduation. 

On Monday, Oct. 31, during fourth period, there was a mandatory assembly for all the seniors in order to get the information to start the ordering process. House 1 principal, Mr. Chiaravalle, talked to the seniors about the upcoming events as he went through the senior calendar in order to make sure everyone was aware of all the things we need to do and be ready for. Events coming up include: Nov. 14-18 is the Elf Sign-up Meeting, Nov. 29 is the Mandatory Meeting for Elves, and Dec. 5-9 is Elves Week. 

There was also a representative speaker from Jostens. He spoke about the ordering process of caps and gowns which began that night if you decided to order online. However, if you chose to purchase them through the Bookroom, the Jostens representative said he will be here to collect the orders on the Fridays of Nov. 4 and 11. There are options for scheduled payments for any families that are not able to put up the full amount at first because caps and gowns can tend to get expensive. 

The assembly was very informative and answered many questions for all the seniors. However, if anyone has any questions about payments or upcoming events, the calendar has been sent by the Bookroom and they said they are always open to answering any other questions. 

To any seniors, ordering caps and gowns is very important so please remember to get the deposit down as soon as you can to ensure you get them.
