Coming up this week, there is an exciting basketball game featuring Lakewood High School and St. Edward’s. The date is set for Saturday, Dec. 3 at 7 PM here at Lakewood High School. Both teams have competed in competitive preseason scrimmages in order to better prepare for this match. For Lakewood, this will be their seventh competition of the season. For St. Edward’s on the other hand, this will only be their sixth. Regardless, both teams house plenty of talent and skill on their varsity rosters. This game should prove to be a competitive matchup. 

In order to gain a better understanding of how the Lakewood Rangers are expected to perform, varsity athlete and senior Brayden Volcansek was asked about his expectations and feelings toward the upcoming game. To these prompts, he responded “Yes we are excited and yes we do think we will win. We all have faith in each other and are determined to persevere this year.” These hopeful sentiments show the trust and confidence the Rangers have to beat the St. Edward Eagles and ultimately better perform in their season as a whole.

The Lakewood student section needs to show up and make some noise to better represent their school and of course to support their team.
