Lakewood+Rangers+Softball

This week Lakewood’s Varsity Softball team had multiple games scheduled for them. On Monday, April 24, Lakewood was scheduled to play Buckeye High School. Two days later on Wednesday, Lakewood was once again scheduled to play Buckeye, but this time at home. Next, on Thursday, April 27, your Lakewood Rangers were scheduled to face Westlake High School in Westlake. Lastly, on Friday, April 28, Lakewood will play Cuyahoga Heights in Lakewood. Thankfully, the original schedule was kept this week as there were no changes due to undesirable weather conditions.

On Monday, your Lakewood Rangers were able to pull off a 2-1 win against Buckeye High School. This game, though closely contested, boosted the Ranger’s overall season record by one more win. Last week Lakewood was scheduled to partake in a senior day game to celebrate their graduating seniors, but unfortunately, the poor weather caused that game to be canceled. Though the seniors were still celebrated, they were not able to play in their game that day. For this reason, the senior game was rescheduled. This game has been highly anticipated and still is. The softball team even purchased new specially designed jerseys for this special occasion. Keep an eye out for this game to be put back on the schedule and get ready to come out and support! The spring softball season is already very far underway and they only have a few games left. Make sure you come out to see them play before it’s too late! As always, Go Rangers!
