Beck Center Women of Creativity

Women of the Beck Center rise to the occasion with the Women’s Board of the Beck Center, an organization created in 1936 with the main idea of continuing the tradition of supporting and serving the theater community. Through the generations of women who have committed their time to the Beck Center, they have managed to raise a hundreds of thousands of dollars and volunteers to help support each program, performance, and regular day-to-day activities throughout the Beck Center. The numerous fundraisers and events upheld are continuously successful and are all throughout the seasons. This consists of fall/winter fundraisers, spring fundraisers, and spontaneous raffles.

Some activities that the Women of the Beck Center host are summer picnics, fundraisers, women’s board boutique, raffles, and ushering performances. The current officers are, Marianne Monahan (president), Shirley Lutts (vice president), Georgia Burley (Treasurer), Beverly Sater Dempsey & Janice Mastin-Kamps (recording secretary), and Karen King-Zeager (corresponding secretary). All of these women run the Women of the Beck Center and are responsible for making all the events happen, and they all come together to work as a group to host these events.
