Beneath the willow’s weeping leaves,
A gentle spirit rests now,
Furry friend of dusk and dawn,
In nature’s arms, forever drawn.
Soft nose that nuzzled morning dew,
Now sleeps beneath the sky’s soft blue.
A fleeting life, a tender breath,
Now stilled in the dance of life and death.
Rest now, in the earth’s warm hold,
Where once your tales of life were told.A rabbit’s heart,
forever free, In nature’s eternal elegy.
