Marching Band and Show Two

This past week, the Lakewood High School Marching Band has been working hard to perfect “Show Two,” which is the second part of the halftime show that is played after the first half of the season. They will be performing three new songs – “Carry on My Wayward Son”, “Roundabout”, and “Immigrant Song”. Clinton Steinbrunner, the Band Director, saysI think it’s good and I’ll be excited to do two new songs next week and I think they’re both exciting songs and are different from what we’ve been doing.”

The band was determined and diligently racing against the clock to have “Show Two” ready to perform by Saturday, Sept. 23 for the Music Festival, which featured class band students and returning alumni. Students and families had the privilege of seeing this new show Friday, Sept. 29. If you missed the Music Festival, don’t worry – the band will be incorporating some of the songs into the

Tala Altaei is a senior at Lakewood High School. Altaei has played for the Lakewood tennis team since freshman year. Altaei still has a lot of consideration to do for post high-school plans, but is considering Kent State University to earn her Bachelor's degree in psychology.

M Blume is a senior at Lakewood High School. They are a part of the Lakewood Ranger Marching Band on the auxiliary team, and they also play on the bowling team. While at school, they take electronics classes for college credit and get projects done with haste. Post-high school, they wish to attain a degree in electrical engineering at CSU and then pursue higher learning after.
