    Homecoming dance ticket sales is officially closed!

    The homecoming dance will be held at Harding Middle School gym tomorrow from 7 – 10pm.

    Attention homecoming decorating committee, everyone that signed up to decorate for the dance should arrive at Harding Middle School at 8:30 in the morning tomorrow.  Attendance will be taken, so if you don’t show up to decorate, you will not be able to get into the dance.

     

    Homecoming court will meet at Lakewood Park at 4:30 today.

     

    Attention all students, book bags will not be permitted at tonight’s home football game or any other major LHS sporting events.  Please know that if you bring a book bag to the game tonight, you will not be permitted into the game.  Please see an administrator if you have any questions.

     

    It’s the last day of spirit week.

    Calling all aspiring playwrights!  Barnstormers Drama club will be performing a series of student-written one act plays this winter, and we want to hear your voice!  See Mr. Farinelli in Mod 23 if you would like to submit a short, 10-15 minute play!

     

    The 2017 Fast-pitch Softball Season is fast approaching. All girls interested in playing softball this season can attend a short informational meeting on Wednesday October 5th at 3:15 pm in 107.     Seniors, please be sure to check Naviance for scholarship opportunities. One example is Cleveland Browns – Marion Motley Scholarship Program Deadline Oct. 1st for $10,000, another is for women, the Distinguished Young Women Scholarship which is due Oct. 21st.

     

    The Lakewood Civic Auditorium is looking for students to join our staff. If you have an interest in live performance from the backstage side of things and are at least 16 years old, please attend an informational meeting on Monday, October 3rd during lunch periods in The Civic lobby.  Enter through the front doors under Johnny Appleseed.

     

    Hey all, please make sure to buy a homecoming t-shirt, only $12, seniors try to get one before they run out because this is a senior class fund raiser and a great way to help lower the cost of the prom ticket.  The t-shirts will also be sold after the pep rally today and at the football game.

     

    Are you interested in becoming a teacher or working with children? Educator’s Rising is a new organization at Lakewood High School and we are looking for interested students, grades 9th-12th, that would like to learn more about the world of teaching. Educator’s Rising first meeting of the school year is Wednesday, October 5, at 3:15pm in Room A202. Come one, come all and learn about an ever needed profession!
