    Tap into your creativity using choreography, filmmaking, literature, music composition, photography, and/or visual art to show us YOUR story!

    Pick up your PTA Reflections Entry Form today! Available in any of the house offices or the bookroom. Entries are due to the Main Office, by Tuesday, November 29th.

    If you are interested in wrestling this year please stop by the athletic office to pick up a practice schedule. You can also pick up participation forms and the practice schedule at Franklin Elementary this Sunday at open mat 1:00-4:00pm. The first day of official practice is Friday November 11, 2016.

     

    Pumpkin Palooza is tomorrow!  All volunteers should make sure they know the times of their shift.  Details outside the H2O office.  While you’re there sign up for our November 2nd trip to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. 

     

    For all students interested in tutoring with the ASIA program, a one hour training session will be held at Emerson Elementary at 3:30pm on November 1st.  Sign up outside the H2O office in B125

     

    Tickets for the Southwestern Conference Cheerleader Competition will be on sale after school only 3:00-3:45pm today through Monday October 31st. The competition will be held at Midview High School Wednesday, November 1st, all tickets are $6.00 presale and $6.00 at the door.

     

    “Interact” the high school affiliate of Rotary International, invites all interested students, and the exchange students, to their November Breakfast Club meeting which will be held Tuesday, November 1st, at 7:30am, in Madame Braquets room A125. It will be a short meeting to share details for November service activity delivering Thanksgiving meals with Lakewood Charitable Assistance, and information about an international potluck. Remember, Interact is a great way to earn volunteer hours…we hope to see you Tuesday morning!!

     

     

    Are you interested in finding out more about Rotary Youth Exchange? Join us Wednesday, November 2nd after school at 3p.m. in The Ranger Café for more information about: Short Term/Long Term High School/Gap Year and Study Abroad Scholarships, Presented by Rotary, and Past and Present Rotary Youth Exchange Students. Applications are due DECEMBER 1ST!!!

     

    Anyone interested in trying out for Lakewood High School Boys’ Basketball should attend an informational meeting after school today at 3:10pm in A102. Again, anyone, including fall athletes should attend this meeting if they would like to try out for boys’ high school basketball.

     

    Interested in joining the LHS Swim & Diving Team? Then come to an information session in Lec Hall 2 at 3:15 on Wednesday, November 2nd. Get information about the season, meet the captains and talk to other swimmers. See you there!

     

    Attention students:  Are you struggling in your biology class?  Well, Biology study tables known as the Biology Bench will be meeting on Tuesdays at 3:00 in room A319.  Come with questions, snacks will be provided.  Talk to your biology teacher for more details.

     

    Are you interested in running Track? Then the Indoor Girls Track & Field Team is for you! Use these next few winter months to get stronger, run faster and throw farther in preparation for the upcoming outdoor season. Stop by the sign-up meeting on Monday, November 7th at 3:00pm in Lec Hall 2.

    This year’s Light Up Lakewood Festival will be held on Saturday, December 3rd. As part of lakewoodalive’s commitment to fostering & sustaining vibrant neighborhoods, we partner w/Plantation Home to provide two $500.00 scholarships to Lakewood residents who are currently high school juniors. Six finalists will be selected to be interviewed, 3 for the Queen and 3 for the King. One Queen & one King will be chosen by the selection committee as the scholarship recipients. Application forms for this scholarship are available in the Bookroom. Applications must be emailed or postmarked by November 11, 2016.
