    Model UN will meet tonight in C314 at 6:00 pm.

     

    Are you looking for some fun and excitement?  Come to the Westshore Young Leaders high school lock in at the Westlake Rec Center next Friday, February 23rd from 8:30 pm to 2 am.  The cost is $10 for fun activities such as movies, sports, dancing, and food.  If you are interested, please come to guidance to get a permission form. Bring your friends to this fun event!

     

    There will be a Boys Outdoor Track sign up meeting today at 3:15 in Lecture Hall 2.  All interested in joining the boys Track team for the spring should attend this meeting.

     

    Are you tough enough to brave the shave?  Join us today at 3:10 in C216, to hear more about our St. Baldrick’s fundraiser coming up in March.  This meeting is open to all students and staff…Go bald for a good cause!

     

    Attention Seniors, if you are interested in representing your class and speaking at commencement, sign up in the bookroom or outside room C215. Tryouts will take place on March 20th, at 3:15pm in room C215. If you have questions, see Mr. Lamphear in C215.

     

    A great volunteer opportunity is coming up tomorrow afternoon.  Meet at the Westerly Apartment complex to deliver groceries door to door to senior citizens.  Sign up outside the H2O office in the cafeteria.  Bring a friend and deliver together!

     

    All girls interested in playing fast pitch softball, tryouts are Monday, February 19th at Harrison Elementary School gym at 1:30 pm and Tuesday, February 20th at Harrison Elementary school gym at 3:30 pm.

    The 16th Annual Physics Cardboard Boat Regatta sponsored by Tavens Packaging and Display Solutions is scheduled for after school on Tuesday, March 6th.  We are currently looking for Lakewood High School Clubs or Groups to build cardboard boats and participate.  We are also looking for staff to participate and/or volunteer at the regatta.  Please contact Mr. Hille in room A312 to sign up or get more information about this year’s cardboard boat regatta.  Again, see Mr. Hille in room A312 to sign up your club or group.  Staff, please email Mr. Hille if you’d like to volunteer.

     

    There will be an organizational meeting at 3:30pm today in the high school cafeteria for any 9th to 12th grade student that is interested in trying out for the high school baseball teams.  Tryouts are Monday, February 19th.  It is very important that you attend or at least stop by to find out times of tryouts and information needed to prepare for playing high school baseball.

     

    There will be a mandatory practice on Monday, Presidents Day, beginning at 9:30 am.  Check your scheduled time in the bookroom or Lec Hall 1.

     

    Seniors:  The Bookroom will be taking orders for senior flowers & senior T-shirts, today thru March 2nd.  A letter has beensent home with an order form, or you may come to the Bookroom to pick up a form.

     

    Congratulations to our PBIS winners for the week!  Tina Martin, Olivia Patterson, Kailee Skut, and to our staff winner Mr. Phillips.  Please go to House 1, right after these announcements to claim your prize!

     

    AYF will have a short meeting after school on Wednesday, February 21st, in room B208.  Make sure you have signed up for camp or are ready to do so by then.
