Billie Eilish released her wildly anticipated debut album, “WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?” on March 29th. The album went straight to #1 on the US iTunes chart following its midnight release.

Billie Eilish is 17 years old, and her songs are written, produced, and preformed with her older brother, Finneas O’Connell. She became famous for her song “Ocean Eyes” that was released 2016, and her first EP “don’t smile at me” was released in 2017.

The album features a wide range of pop songs, including a sample from a scene from the hit show “The Office”; The song “my strange addiction” begins with vocal snippets from season 7 episode “Threat Level Midnight”. The episode features a movie the characters from The Office produced where main character Michael Scarn starts to perform a dance in a bar, leading everyone else in the bar to follow him in the impromptu flashmob of the dance The Scarn.

This is not the first time Eilish has shown her appreciation for The Office. On tour, she would often be seen coming on stage to The Office theme song, an iconic upbeat melody. Another time where Eilish’s ardor for the show was apparent was when she posted a picture on Instagram of her and Angela Kinsley–who played Angela Martin on The Office. After Eilish’s album was released, Kinsley posted the airport picture of the duo together congratulating Billie on her album’s success.

Many love her new album, Lakewood High School senior Corrina Cooper says, “I thought her new album was a masterpiece, with the best songs undoubtedly being “bad guy” and “wish you were gay”.”
