    2021’s Homecoming Dresses

    2021s+Homecoming+Dresses

Homecoming this year was quite the special one. Not only had Lakewood High School not had a homecoming in over a year, it was also the first homecoming for our now Sophomores who didn’t get to enjoy it their Freshman year. This year didn’t disappoint either! With a turn out of over 300, it was certainly a beautiful night to go with friends and dance the night away.

The dresses of that night did not disappoint either. For this big night, everyone dressed their absolute best, and went above and beyond. From wrap dresses to body-cons, to martini dresses that may have been tempting dress code. Even if it was a semi-formal event, the guys there wore the most exceptional suits. This year’s homecoming was more than just a dance, it was a celebration. A year so dreadful and filled with uncertainty, perhaps questioning if there was going to be another year at all, the least this generation could enjoy was a night to just be teenagers for once.

Most people, though, did not bring their dancing shoes. Especially the ladies, for it was so bad there was a designated shoe table where everyone would just throw their shoes, and walk barefoot on the AstroTurf. It’s really interesting to think how formal people went for that night, even if it was only titled “semi-formal” and there was obviously going to be some rigorous dancing, with the addition of it hitting fifty-five degrees that night.

That wraps it up for 2021’s Homecoming. An unforgettable night for all of the school’s populace. And even if you were a Freshman when we all had to go remote, I still hope that the rest of your Homecomings are just as fun.
