    Ranger Rally: Celebration of New Athletic Facilities

    Finally!

    After all the waiting and hard work put into the new athletic facility join Lakewood City Schools in celebrating the new Lakewood High School gymnasium, weight room, wrestling gym, and community fitness facility on Thursday November 30, 2017 at 6 pm. The athletic showcase and open house will include our winter season displaying their skills in a variety of exhibition and competition. The public is welcome to tour the new athletic wing. They can also walk the new indoor track during the festivities. The Boosters will also be have the concession stand open for anyone who wishes to get a little snack and enjoy watching the basketball players working hard for their upcoming season. Wishing the best of luck to all the winter athletes at Lakewood High School.

    The physical education facilities will include three basketball courts, weight rooms, wrestling room, team and physical education locker rooms, athletic office, concession area and a new Ranger shop. After being  under construction forever the gym has finally opened to the public on November 30th, 2017.  The Ranger Rally included all winter athletes, basketball, indoor track, gymnastics, and the volleyball. These teams were all announced and played some games.

    “It feels great to play on that court, it’s a new start for Lakewood High School and I’m honored to be one of the first teams to play on it and represent Lakewood to the best that I can” Hamdan said. She is very excited to be able to play at the High School again especially since it’s her senior year.

    Come support the Lakewood Boys Basketball team as they take on the Saint Edward Eagles tonight at 7:15!
