It’s been a great week for Hip-Hop artist, J. Cole. He is currently on the top of the Billboard 200 with his full length album, “KOD“, which opens at No. 1 with the biggest week of 2018.

This week, J. Cole has all 12 songs off of his album, KOD, on the ‘Billboard Hot 100.’ “It’s rare for any artist to dominate their full album on the Billboard charts, especially in the Hot 100.” There have been over 10 albums that have sent every track onto the Hot 100 for at least one frame, with names like Taylor Swift (Speak Now), Justin Bieber (Purpose), Drake and Future (What a Time to Be Alive) and a handful of others having achieved the still-rare feat. The Weeknd was able to do so most recently with his surprise album, My Dear Melancholy.

KOD had a huge debut, pushing 397,000 album units in its first week, breaking Spotify’s opening day streaming record, and debuting at the top of Billboard’s Top 200 Albums. The success of ‘KOD’ is comparative to Kendrick Lamar’s initial numbers for DAMN.’s release-which both albums have no artist features.

The ‘KOD’ tracks that managed to dominate the chart include:

    • Kevin’s Heart
    • ATM
    • KOD

Like him or not, Cole has had an influence on Hip-Hop music and his chart records proves his dominance and how talented rappers still exist in today’s music game. Although we’re only a week out from KOD’s drop, J. Cole has already teased plans for his next project, allegedly titled The Fall Out. He has also assured fans that a deluxe edition of KOD will be dropping soon with some tracks that didn’t make the cut.
