    Rams and Chiefs make history

    Rams+and+Chiefs+make+history

On Monday, November 19th, the Los Angeles Rams faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs in Los Angeles. This was no ordinary NFL football game, the intensity was felt in the stadium and through the TV for most viewers. Both teams put up massive numbers with a combined score of 105 points. The Chiefs numerous touchdowns set their total score at 51 points vs their opponent, the Rams, with a victorious 54 points.

This was the first time in NFL history that both teams posted more than 50 points each on the scoreboard. The last time a game like this was played was in 2004 when the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals battled it out to have a combined score of over 100 points.

With 14 total touchdowns in the game both teams were sure to boast acceptable statistics. “Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was 33-for-46 with 478 passing yards and six touchdown passes. Mahomes’ touchdown mark is the most of any quarterback in Monday Night Football history” stated ESPN. Patrick Mahomes has 37 touchdowns this season and is now the second quarterback to throw at least 5 touchdowns in a single game and still lose.

Rams player Samson Ebukam also made history by recording a sack, multiple touchdowns (pick six in the 3rd quarter and a fumble recovery for a touchdown in the 2nd quarter) and an interception all in the same game.

Overall, it is safe to say that the Rams vs. Chiefs game was not only was a record-breaking game, but extremely entertaining to watch too.
