Tiger Woods Wins Masters

The 2019 Masters Tournament is held between April 11 to April 14. The course that will be used this year is the Augusta National Golf Course.

The Masters Tournament is usually referred to as The Masters or the U.S. Masters. This is one of the four major championships in professional golf. The Masters is also the first major of majors of the year, held in the first few weeks of April.

Unlike other majors, it is always held at the Augusta National Golf Course, in southeastern United States, in Augusta, Georgia.

The Masters was first played 85 years ago in 1934 and this tournament is an official money event on the PGA Tour, the European Tour, and the Japan Tour.

If you win The Masters the prize that you will receive is 11 million dollars.

The winner of The 2019 Masters was Tiger Woods. Tiger Woods was hoping to win his fifth green jacket and that was what he accomplished last night. This was the fifth game Tiger has won.

After an 11 year drought, Tiger Woods, an outstanding star-studded leader, wins The Masters by posting a final round 2-under 70.

Tiger Woods first major win was in 2008, the U.S. Open, 15th of his career and was the first in Augusta National since 2005.

Now that Tiger Woods has five green jackets in his Augusta locker, Woods has the second-all-time at the pristine course right behind Jack Nicklaus. Jack Nicklaus has won six times between 1963 and 1986.

If you were watching CBS Sports you would have seen all of Tigers every moves. They were tapping every hole he went to, updating all of his story highlights throughout the whole game.

Here is a quote, talking about how Tiger Woods won The Masters, from your very own Lakewood High School student Joe Baire.

” I once talked about what it would mean to see Tiger win another major. But I never expected him to get back to his prime and win the Masters Tournament at his age. He really silenced all of the doubters he had the past ten years by achieving arguably his greatest accomplishment yet. I happens (for me) to be the greatest sports comeback of all time and it was great to be able to witness that.”
