Miabella Doerr is a senior at Lakewood High School. During the fall she loves to play tennis and is part of the team at the high school. She was asked a couple of questions about tennis and this is how she responded.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
“Getting to play first doubles for JV despite a pre-season injury.”
How do you balance your school work and tennis?
“I balance sports and school by staying on top of my schoolwork and utilizing my study halls and lunches to get ahead.”
What other sports do you do?
“Just tennis, but I might do indoor track this winter.”
How long have you been playing tennis?
“This is my second season of tennis.”
What has been your favorite memory during the sport?
“Winning a match against Berea-Midpark after being down 1-5 in our second set and winning the tie-breaker 7-5.”
Why do you play?
“I play because it is fun and I love to play.”
What do you wish to get out of the season?
“I hope to meet and really get to know all of my teammates.”
What are your future plans for tennis?
“I hope to go to a four-year school and possibly join one of their club tennis teams.”
