The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

    The+Most+Wonderful+Time+of+the+Year

Winter is known as the most wonderful time of the year.  There is so much to look forward to and be apart of. From the weather changing to holidays and everything in between. There is no time like the winter time when everyone’s spirits are up.

Weather this past week really started to show what winter brings.  Teachers and students even thought there might be a snow day. Math and homeroom teacher Mrs. Thompson added in, “A snow day would be nice, but I wouldn’t count on it.” Other students hoped and prayed there would be one. Sadly there wasn’t, but there was a bit of snow fall.  Snow fell during the day and every student gathered around windows to see.

Snowflakes is not the only thing winter brings. The holiday season is a huge part of what makes winter so wonderful.  Students get off for Thanksgiving and Christmas soon.  Before that happens though there are many events in Lakewood that go on to get the holiday season started.

One big thing is Light Up Lakewood, this takes place during the first week of December. Many residents and none residents pack the Lakewood streets to watch and join activities going on.  It is truly a get together you don’t want to miss.

All in all there is so much leading up to winter and during winter that proves the title of the most wonderful time of the year to be true.
