Lakewood has a plethora of amazing places for food, drinks, and entertainment. Some of the city’s most popular attractions are its cafes and coffee houses. These are a few of the highest rated and most widely regarded caffeine pit stops in and around Lakewood.

The Root Cafe is Lakewood’s top spot for a cup of coffee or a vegan/vegetarian meal. Its caffeinated beverages are earthy and delicious, with an artsy decor and urban vibe to seal the deal. The shop is located on Detroit Avenue (just off of Elmwood) and is open every day until 9 P.M. The Root offers a fun environment to enjoy a mocha latte and do homework, or to just hang out.

Common Grounds is slightly outside of Lakewood, located in Cleveland by Kamm’s Corner.  This 24 hour shop offers the best cup of coffee you could ask for, especially during a 2 A.M. caffeine run. Common Grounds has a grungy feel and offers drinks with edgy names, complete with delicious treats to enjoy.

KB Confections is another Lakewood coffee destination. This quaint cafe is placed just across from St. Edward’s High School on Detroit Avenue. KB offers a more elegant feel, with a beautiful seating area situated inside an old greenhouse. In addition to a delicious coffee drink, this spot is known city-wide for its cakes, cupcakes, and other bakery items, which are always a hit at any special occasion.

These three destinations, along with many more, await any person who is yearning for a new spot to sip coffee.
